Jim Beam Surftag 2014
The Jim Bean Surftag Australian Series provides a national competition for board riding clubs to compete against each other. This surfing competition is run under the Surftag format with each club represented by 5 surfers. In relay style surfers catch 3 waves then run to the beach to tag a teammate. Heat durations are 1 hour with 4 teams contesting each heat.
Bondi generally enters an A and B team in this event. Surfers chosen for the A team are eligible even if they do not compete in our regular board riders club contests. The B team is strictly chosen form surfers that compete in the regular board rider’s club series.
Our Bondi A team are the current winners of the N.S.W south side division of this event for 2013, beating teams such as Bronte and Narrabeen. Well done boys!
Round one for this years event will be held at North Narrabeen 8-9 Feb 2014. More details to follow
